Splendid Fiins big move...

Nisa of Splendid Fiins moved her store to The Lily Pad awhile back & it has been great!  I love several of the desginers over there and have tried some new ones that I wasn't familiar with.  I have also had some fun participating in their challenges and the montly sale called BYOC- build your own collab.  Here are some random layouts that I have done using products by Splendid Fiins, Just Jaimee, OLB, LGrier, Laurie Ann, JBarrette & Sahlin Studios.  Several made with the fabulous templates by Amy Martin Design.  For detailed credits & to check out my gallery and leave me some love right here!

Thanks for looking - have a great week!

CT Layouts for Liv.edesign

Liv has been cranking out some amazing products lately.  I love that her stuff is usually very gender neautral- which in the digi world means it will work for boys!  Saying that, her most recent kit is called Tiny Dancer  which is a ballerina theme and comes out this Friday at Jessica Sprague.  It is adorable, but alas, I have no tiny dancers - but I do have a rock star!  Since she herself is an all-boy family, I think she always keeps this (boy colors/themes)  in mind and I love the versatality of this kit!  Here are some of my layouts using Liv's sweet products.  First off - the tiny dancer, done using no pink, and with a little help from One Little Bird and Just Jamiee.

Also new to her store is the Painted Alpha Rounds - love these and will go to them often!  I used them here with Liv's roll over & smudge it brushes, NW stitchies, Click it Papers & Photo stories tag.
Also Design by Dani PlayBall element and AASPN loop & sparklers.

And finally awesome scuffy, grungy, totally flexible Painted Alpha - sure to use this again and again.  Used here with that paper of hers I love, and her Painted frames, Roll over brushes, tabby tabs.

Thanks for looking- have a fabulous day!  xoxo

Freebie Templates!

Hi all - have been offering a template every month on Dani's blog and thought it would be a good idea to put the link here in case anyone reading wants to download them! My friend recently told me she didn't think I used templates anymore, but I still love them - so many great ones out there.  I really do enjoy making them also- that is why I try to offer a template every month.  I hope you can use it- if you use Dani's products, please put it in the JS gallery - I'll be highlighting some of them soon!  Thanks for dropping by!
And here is my layout using this template and Dani's "it's a GUY thing" kit- available at Jessica Sprague!  You'll need to add your own shawdows to the template, and then what ever else you like - I stayed pretty true, but this kit has so many fun elements I couldn't resist using them.  Enjoy!

Happy iNSD!

Tomorrow is (inter)National Scrapbook Day!  There are so many fun things going on to celebrate- here is a blog post I wrote on the Design by Dani blog explaining a bit about this fun day.

But before I can participate in all the fun out there in digi-land, I must get 25 of these 8.5x11 portfolios done for each child in T's 3rd grade class...  They have turned out super cute thanks to some great products.   I used an older template and wordart from Splendid Fiins, and Dani's Everyday Electic Journal Cards & Boy Crazy Add On pattern papers.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you get to spend some time shopping & scrapping tomorrow!

Photo Stories

The fabulous Liv of  liv.edesign has created a big, beautiful kit that is so useful for documenting, yep that's right.... Photo Stories.  The kit is split up into different pieces, and after this Friday the whole 'shbang is available at Jessica Sprague. I love how versatile this kit is - works for anything from boys being boys to a lunch outside with a squirrel- which may not be all that different actually.   Here are a few of my layouts using these kits.  TFL!

Project Life!

Yep, I'm still doing my Project Life pages, and will make a book of all the  pages at the end of this year.  Almost every designer is making products that work well for PL, so there is always lots of good stuff to use on these pages.  I don't post them all, because I want you to come on over and see them in person!  But here is a small sample of some of my current PL pages.  This first page I used the amazing products from One Little Bird.  I loved these colors - so clean, fresh and spring-like.  I was excited to learn that this page was a "Gallery Stand Out" on the OLB Blog

And of course I am using the amazing products for my girl, Nisa of Splendid Fiins.  Each month she comes up with a collection of papers and journal cards that are ideal for PL pages.  Here is one using her March Kit.
And I couldn't resist using the sweetness that is the April kit on this Easter layout.
Nisa's PL kits and many other of her fabulous products can be found at The Lily Pad.  They have great sales & beautiful inspiration in the gallery - go check it out!

And of course, Dani at Design by Dani has prodcuts that work perfectly for PL.  She does a series of journal cards, but any kit can be used too.  Here is a page I did using the Everyday Out Loud journal cards and the Flying High kit.  Both which can be purchased here.

Classes I'm taking now!

Hello friends!  Sorry I have been absent of late.  Seems like with my Creative Team commitments, blogging on Dani's blog every Wednesday, and oh, yea- keeping up with life... I have not been here much lately!  And if all that were not enough, I am taking a couple of classes right now.  The first one is one I have taken before, Capture Your Life - Through the Lens with Katrina Kennedy.  You can find out more about this photography class and her approach to "365" right here .  I love that she let's us take the class again and again.  I find, as I learn more skills with photography, I need to go back and pay attention to something I missed the first time around.  I haven't posted anything in the forum or Gallery this time, but Katrina is always there to help.  Great class, I highly reccomend it!

The other class I am taking is called All Star Graphics, and it is taught by Jana Morton at CreativePassionclasses.com and you can check it out right here .  I have taken most of Jana's classes and have learned so much from her.  This class is especially fun because you don't use a ton of products - it is a lot of your photos and different techniques in Photoshop- but the results are really cool - very graphic, poster or Sports Illustrated type of looks.  Which is great, because baseball season has started and we are in full swing- get it?!
